Are you twitching your butt?

That was the topic of conversation tonight at this shoot! These three were a lot of fun to shoot. It always starts out akward for people when they have to have a camera in their face, but these guys adjusted quickly as soon as Dennis decided to jab his chin into his big sister just to irritate her and then of course that lead to tickling! Ashlee, from the previous shoot below wanted to get some pictures of her and her siblings for her parents for Christmas! Shhh don't tell it's supposed to be a surprise lets hope she can keep it a surprise! Good Luck with that Ash! These kids are all absolutely beautiful/handsome!

Enjoy! Hope you guys like them!

T.R.O.U.B.L.E.

(above) straight out of the Stepford Wives! :-)

"them" on their crotch rockets! This is probably a once in a lifetime for a photographer!!!
LOVE IT!!!

Im in trouble because I have to post SO many sneak peeks from this shoot. This is BY FAR, my favorite shoot EVER. I don't think I can describe how much I LOVE how this turned out!!!

These two are seriously smitten* with each other! It's obvious that I will someday hopefully be shooting engagement photos of them! It's always hard when you have pretty people because so many of these turn out good, but throw 2 photogenic people who are up for just about whatever in the mix and you have yourself a INCREDIBLE shoot!!!

Thank you so much Ashlee for incorporating your ideas into this one and both of you not being afraid to "try" different things no matter how odd they seemed! And Brian... you are a SUCH a good sport! Thanks for putting up with all the ideas and things we HAD to try today! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I told you on the phone earlier that you were in trouble. I don't have a clue how you will ever decide on what prints to get. This is only the "sneak peek"!
Just because I get asked this question all the time... "and how do you know these people Kari?" I work with Ashlee! She's a new coworker with us at the good old RCFP!

Anticipation

So we are all beginning to be in suspense about when our new little Drake William will arrive. This is my cousin Kayla. She is due for her first baby boy on Dec. 6th. We were beginning to cut it close but we got her maternity session in before he arrived! Seriously though, I had to MAKE her stick out her belly in several of these because she just didn't look nearly 9 mons pregnant. What the heck! She should be ginormous! Yes Kayla and Kathy I didn't spell that wrong. I was trying to say GY-NORMOUS! Love you guys! Thank you Kayla for letting me capture this special time in your life! You look absolutely beautiful!

Watch for upcoming photos of little Mr. Drake himself shortly after he arrives! I CANNOT wait to have a new baby in the family to photograph pretty much whenever I feel the need to break out my camera on pure utter cuteness! Pretty much guaranteed to be a gorgeous baby since he is related to us! :-)

So Kayla I know you are waiting for these!!! Hope you like them! ENJOY!

Christmas Simplicity

This just a very basic example of Christmas photo. The actual picture is a 5x7 with a frame around it and it can be done without the framing also.

Are we insane???

Oh that's right yeah we must be to try and attempt this. For those of you who don't know, this is my husband's mom's side of the family. We haven't done a picture like this since Daymian was just about 2 months (if that) old. Now he is the one on the right as you look at the photo below and the 2nd in from the end (He's 8) At that point, we only had 4 kids in the fam, now... 9, WOW way to reproduce family! I have to say I don't think any of these are perfect, but trying to pose 9 kids is certainly a challenge!!! Needless to say I suppose! I don't think nana or papa will mind. These are seriously some of the best looking kids ever! I guess that's because they are related to me right?! (kidding of course)! Check back later this week because we will be holding a contest to decide which photo to choose for the grandparents.

All the kiddos!
(Below) The boys

The girls

Carson and Kaden (They are 3 weeks apart in age) We didn't plan for them to match either! How cute are they?!

So Photogenic!

Yesterday I met up with some of the sweetest and cutest kiddos! Their mommy (R) I met several years ago while she was pregnant with E the oldest of these kids, I have watched her family grow and change with each pregnancy!! How fun! I have never met the kids in person until yesterday, so it was super special for me to actually see these kids in person since I've heard so much about them through the years! Mom and Dad both are so great with these kids! I realized while I was doing this shoot how much I truly enjoy kids. That seems pretty obvious since I have 2 of my own, but seriously, this "job" (if that's even what I could call it) takes me back to fun times with kiddos. I appreciate their innocence and individual characters. Such a neat feeling and experience to get to have with a passion I enjoy so much. So thank you so so much T, R, E, K, and T! You are all so awesome, it was WONDERFUL hanging out with you yesterday!!!

K reminded me of my own daughter when was this age (3). K loves kitties and she got to play with one during her shoot to keep her attention. The kitty ended up scratching her pretty badly and she was OVER it (meaning having her pic taken) after that. Nonetheless, we got some pretty sweet pictures of her. You can tell she is growing out of the baby look. She has much more of the little girl look going on here!! aWWWW

Check out those stunning blue eyes (above). He was SUCH a happy guy!

Now Mr. E here (below) was Mr. Personality and also extremely photogenic. I will have to keep him in mind next time im looking for a model his age. He didn't even have to pose to make his pictures look great!!

T... I just wanted to let you know I am SO sorry that I had to do SO much editing to make the baby look cuter than you. Next time we will have to keep you out of the photos because my husband is still mad at me since I spent SO much time editing this one photo that we missed dinner last night! LOL

And last but not least we couldn't forget Mom and her girl!!
