Time flies!

You definitely will not recognize this baby! Last time I saw him he weighed maybe 6 lbs! Now he is a bubbly, adorable, friendly little 6 month old! Where did the time go? We got some great shots of him and his older brother Skylar. Baby Jayden did absolutely wonderful and I know I probably say this at all the baby stages, but 6 months is my favorite age to photograph...right now :-)

Thank you Jayden and family! It was great to see you all! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Be sure to head over to his mom and dad's website and check out their new addition to Mid-Michigan DJ's its very awesome that we have something like this offered in our area!

It's been another up and down day for baby Stellan and his family. If you click on the picture below you can visit his families blog. His mommy is such a strong soul.

Please pray

I just wanted to take a minute to ask all of you to pray for baby Stellan. You can visit his family blog at the link over on the sidebar that says MckMiracle. He has had a rough few days. I am anxiously awaiting updates on his condition, but this senerio certainly took his family completely by surprise.

Since I absolutely LOVE natural light and have a BIG distain for artificial light... yeah I just suck at it, nothing REALLY wrong with it! I had a ton of photos to choose from. I asked myself "what is my FAV photo ever".... this one of course popped in my head. It is my fav of all time. ONCE in a lifetime shot of MY son! If you look closely, the cat is actually licking him!

I heart faces *creative crop* week!

This is the first picture that popped into my head when I saw this weeks topic! Be sure to stop over and get inspired at www.iheartfaces.blogspot.com

I don't generally save originals so I can't show you what it looked like originally however I do remember that it was vertical and was a full body shot! I would have liked to go in even closer with the crop but for some reason I just couldn't sacrifice his little ear!

Just a quick sample slideshow

Well the time for graduation and open houses is quickly approaching. These slideshows make a great addition to what you already have planned to share at your child's open house! Can be set to any music and include any pictures you may want to add!

Also I thought I would take this time to remind you to be sure to start thinking about graduation and open house announcements. We will custom design them for you and will be showing samples over the next few weeks!

I heart face *MESSY* theme!

Be sure to head on over to www.iheartfaces.blogspot.com to check out all the cute messy faces!

This is my son Carson (and daughter Kenedey posing with him) when he was about 6 - 8 months old (im really not sure). It is defintely not a "great" photograph if your talking artistic and correct photography, however... this week we are talking MESSY! I don't think it gets much better than this! I believe he was eating prunes... don't you just love how happy he is?! LOL All that mess and he isn't stressed about it one bit... in fact he couldn't be happier!

This picture takes me back in time! He is now almost 3, but that toothless smile that just lights up his face and those baby blues and the rolly polly tummy, legs, arms... just love em! Sure do miss those days already! Love you baby boy!

Oh baby GIRL!!!

So no offense but I was SOOOO excited to be able to photograph a little girl in PINK! Miss Olivia is going to be part of my Bebe' Collection (a package where they get 4 photo shoots for the first year - a great deal if your interested email me).

I have ALL boys in my Bebe' Collection and a few of them are going to graduate or HAVE graduated from the collection! I get really close to all of my bebe' collection babies because it really is a gift to me that I get to photograph them and watch them grow through their first year and capture them in all sorts of firsts!

Olivia was such a good girl and didn't mind one bit when we took her clothes off, usually they scream! We played dress up and tried to get lots of smiles... but... she wasn't having it! She had us working HARD for smiles! I could do a whole post on Olivia outakes with all the funny faces she makes even at her young age (3 months)! Watch out mom... those faces get worse when they are about 12!

Thank you Olivia and family for the opportunity to capture your first year! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Mini-Boden

I think this site is with its own individual review/blog. I will be posting the link over on the sidebar as well so you can access it anytime.

Two ladies I met at the mom 2 mom sale had their little girls in the CUTEST outfits and I asked them where they liked to shop! These girls had on the CUTEST long coats that were brown (one with purple polka dots and the other with green polka dots). I saw these girls before I actually met them and I was like... "Look at that little girl, I WANT to photograph her!" Sorry, but it's kinda how my brain works. You all know by now that I love unique clothing, hats, blankets, fabrics, backdrops, chairs, all that good stuff.

Anyway... they shared their love of Mini-Boden and I went and checked out the website right away! I LOVE this site and their stuff. It's super easy to navigate too for those of you who aren't crazy about online shopping! Be sure to look at it, especially if you are looking for unique outfits for your children/family for an upcoming photo shoot! Be sure to click on the Sale tab too they have some really cute stuff in there too for more than half off the original price!

I will be ordering Carson an outfit because now I have this "look" and idea in my head for an outfit for him and I am going to take him to the beach when we are on spring break for a shoot! OOOOHhhh I can't wait for warmer weather... I'm getting really antsy!

The video you may or may not have seen!

I made a quick little slideshow that I took with me to the Mom 2 Mom Sale in Dundee and unfortunately I was not able to play it the entire time because we didn't have a power supply and the battery died within about 90 mins! Anyway... wanted to highlight this video here! Enjoy!

I did not add music because I didn't know how loud it would be in the gym where we were!

Had SUCH a good time yesterday.

Yesterday, I did my first Mom 2 Mom Sale in Dundee Michigan. I learned about the sale on Craigslist. I have signed up to do a couple more of these throughout the next few months so this was kind of like my "trial-run" to see how it would go! It was REALLY a lot of fun. I met some really neat new people, heard some interesting and heartwarming stories and it was WELL worth my time.

Hello, to all of you that I met and got the chance to talk to yesterday! Thanks for stopping by my table and taking the time to comment on my work and entering the drawing...

Now here's the important part... THE DRAWING! The winner receives a FREE session ($50 value) and 1 8x10 and 2 5x7's.

KRISTY YOCUM!
(When I reached into to draw this one from the basket and had my eyes closed I laughed out loud because Kristy and I both talked about how we both make our entries into contests a shape with the paper)... looks like it worked this time Kristy!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I will be in touch with you soon to get your session scheduled!
