Baby Jack! - Brooklyn, MI Newborn Photographer

I could share every single image from this session :) At 3 weeks old, I wasn't sure if we would get many sleepy newborn photos of baby Jack, but he charmed us the ENTIRE session and did just perfectly! I think his parents were just a little nervous, because it seemed Jack is a little fussy around the time of day we did his session, but we got lucky! Congratulations Eric & Lauren. Thank you for allowing me to share in this special time with you! I look forward to watching Jack grow and change over the next year!

Conant Kids! - Jackson, MI children's photographer

I had the HUGE honor of photographing this adorable family! Rachel (mom) contacted me a few weeks ago and mentioned that she was hoping to do some photos for her husband Jeff who is currently in the middle of a deployment. Father's Day was coming up and she knew she wanted to do something that would honor him and surprise him! 

I met up in downtown Jackson with the Conant kiddos, and we had a wonderful session! The kids got a chance to run, play, and just be together, all while we captured some fun shots! Rachel brought her husbands uniforms (he is currently wearing a different type for this deployment) so we had lots to work with! 

The shot you see of Chloe holding up her arms, she was breakin' it down to her favorite song, "The Farmer and The Dell"! So fun to capture kids being kids! 

Thank you Conant Family for yet another wonderful session. I know this is a challenging time for you all, but your love for your family always shines and carries you through! Here's hoping that Daddy makes it home QUICKLY! Hugs to you all, and thank you Jeff Conant for you service. We all appreciate the sacrifices you and your family make for our freedom.

Leo! - Ypsilanti, MI Newborn Photographer

Little Leo :)

Such a content baby! I am excited to watch him grow over the next year! He stayed sleepy through his entire session! Leo's mom is from China, so I was unsure how she would feel about the hats and different things we do to our newborns, but she was ALL about the hats and fun stuff for her little Leo! Unfortunately, the fishing hat Dad had in mind didn't quite fit! We will have to give that a try next time :) Thank you Lovejoy Family for a wonderful session! You are blessed with such a wonderful little guy!

Morgan & Madeline - Tecumseh, MI Photographer

Wow it's already June! Busy season is back in full swing. I saw it every year, there is NOTHING like a Michigan summer! I wish I could agree that it makes all the cold months worth it... but that's not true!

I had a great time with Morgan and Madeline (who is turning 7!). Their mom wanted some sister shots and a few to mark Madeline's 7th Birthday! The girls were so much fun. Little Morgan has a spitfire personality and had us laughing with her little one liners all evening. Madeline is joy to be around with her fun loving free spirit! Thank you girls for a wonderful session!! Have a wonderful summer!

Danny - High School Senior Photographer - Manchester, MI

It felt AMAZING to be back OUTSIDE shooting! Oh Michigan winter has had it in for us this year. Danny's family wanted him to have his Senior Portraits done in the Fall, but like many guys... Danny wasn't super excited about it! Procrastination won out, and we did Spring 2013 Senior Pictures. 

Danny is graduating from Manchester High School, and will be pursuing a career in Welding. The day we did his pictures, he had just come back from a State competition for Welding! How lucky he is that he's just graduating High School and already is clear on what direction he wants to head in. Very unique since most Seniors I have photographed this past year are really unsure what directly they want to head in. I cannot imagine how difficult those choices must be to make in today world. 

Thank Danny for being a good sport about having these photos done! Enjoy you last few weeks of High School, and I wish you the absolute BEST in your future!

The sweetest LOVE.

I wish I could put together the words to share what an impact this one little girl has made in my life and the lives of so many. She defied the odds time and time again and brought a huge amount of hope, love, and inspiration to everyone she encountered. 

I am heartbroken this morning as Trinity passed away last night.  Please keep Trinity's wonderful family in your thoughts and prayers. I had the opportunity to see Trinity a few short days ago, not knowing it would be our goodbye. Every time I spent time with her doing her photos, I always walked away with a renewed sense of humility, inspiration, and genuine gratitude. She has touched MANY lives and I am forever grateful for having the opportunity to share many special moments with her and her family. This storyboard is a journey through the last 9 months. Rest in Peace sweet little love. I will hold you in my heart FOREVER.

Sweet Tessa - Jackson, MI - Newborn Photographer

This session was a breeze! I knew as soon as I walked in, that sweet little Tessa was up for anything!

Tessa came as a BIG surprise to her family. They spent months and weeks and painstaking moments making their babies nursery just so. It includes an adorable book nook, super cool Pinterest craft that came to life, and even a mural of animals that dad hand painted. All of that is wonderful... however... the problem is... they were told that their SON would be in that room. As you can see, this beauty is all girl! HA! I told them I have never met a family who was told in the ultrasound, "It's a BOY"! Only to be super surprised with, "It's a GIRL"! 

Luckily it all works out somehow, and they are settling into a nice little routine with this sweet baby girl! She is absolutely GORGEOUS, calm, sweet and everything any parent could ask for! 

In the meantime, I am sure they are doing lots of trying to figure out how to make that boy nursery into a girl nursery!
