The Second Annual Easter Mini Sessions were a huge success! The bunnies were the best we have ever had. Doscile, Calm, and easy going! They LOVED people handling them and would snuggle in almost immediately!

It is not new news that I cannot get enough of photographing newborns. :) I think I am finally at a place in my life where I am content with the 2 children I have and I am pretty sure it's safe to say our family is complete, while at the same time... not causing me to have overwhelming feelings of  the finale' being scary. This IS a good thing! haha! I absolutely love the newborn stage, and children in general. However, raising a teenager sure brings out what the long term of having children brings. No bigger reality than having one in your home. I have a GREAT teenager, so don't get me wrong, but worrying about emotional well-being of my children and all of the other things being a parent entails... I am done making more!! So... my point is... shooting newborns is something I NEED to do. It's where I get my baby fix, it's where I fulfill my personal adoration, but at the same time am able to capture what families need to preserve those fleeting moments.

January brought more newborns that I expected, so I got an EXCELLENT newborn fix! 

Monroe's session started out a little rough. A house full of kids under 4 (well 3 to be exact) is BUSY! However, Jessica and Joe are SO amazing to work with. Jessica is willing to let me take the time to get the shots she wanted, feed on demand, and just relax and go with the flow. In the end, we came out with some images that I am SUPER excited about! 

Monroe is LOVELY with all that beautiful hair, Cora (the new big sis) is just as spunky as ever, and Harrison is the noble big brother you would expect! 

Thank you Botke Family for inviting me into this special time in your lives (again). You are wonderful friends, parents and people. I look forward to watching your family grow over the coming year!

Valentine's Day has long been one of my favorite holidays! From a business standpoint, I often feel like... hey that's the PERFECT holiday for Touch of LOVE Photography!

So, after a lot of coaxing and input from clients... this year we are offering Valentine Mini Sessions! We have some fun times, props, and sets we are busy preparing for your valentine needs!

• 15-20 minutes
• offer 2 different "sets"

• options of an adorable bookmark option for "school valentines"

• option of digital images and ala carte add on's to suit your needs appropriately
• and lastly... as always... a promise of FUN!

Some of my faves :) Family Photographer, MI

I honestly cannot think of anything that brings me more joy in my photography business, than families who invite me to share in the big moments in life... like weddings... and then stick with me and allow me to share in their futures :) It is seriously, for me, the picture of success. If I have the honor of having clients continue in the future... my cup runneth over!

You might remember John and Ginger from about 3 years ago. Their wedding picture is even still at the top of this blog (ya I have slacked a tad in updating it) but they are just as wonderful together as ever!

We had a wonderful day at Hidden Lake Gardens AFTER the rain threatened to keep us away! The radar on the weather channel was UGLY and it rained RIGHT after we finished their session, but as you can imagine... I was jumping up and down with excitement that the rain held out for us!

Ginger's mom came along and was willing to let us get her in a few photos. I say it all the time, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... bring grandparents to your sessions. Grandparents are SO special and in time, having pictures of your children with their grandparents, the meaning will only grow. PROMISE!

Thank you SO much to John, Ginger, and Morgan for sharing your lives with me! Your dedication, support and friendship mean A TON!

Also, Ginger... I don't take much time to blog anymore because there is just too much work to keep on top of it, however, you need to know that every time I DO take the time to blog. Your little words of, "Kari, you need to blog because it's one reason why I chose you for my wedding" rings in my ear... EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. and for that... I thank you for giving me the gentle nudge to keep at it!
