The wonderful thing about kids...

Is they are so great at just being.... THEM! So often I try so hard to just capture people just "doing what they do". I love the little touches, a look, or a just an action that captures a person. It can be tough to get that with adults and even some kids. This session was certainly an exception, these kids did WONDERFUL. I never once felt stressed with them. How in the world is that even remotely possible with THREE kids? I think they all take after their wonderful mommy who is just as calm as can be! I admire you Amy, you are doing a wonderful job with those precious kids!!!
I'll admit we both thought she was ruining this shot with her "thumbs up!" Who knew it could be so perfect just the way it is?!

Today I met up with Amy... another wonderful Salon Breathe employee!!! She has 3 of the most AMAZING little KIDS that I have worked with in a long time. Not only were they well behaved and seemed to enjoy themselves, on top of that they were all just adorable. I knew they would be cute... but THAT cute?! Wow!!! I find myself saying that so often about my clients, but honestly I think I have the most beautiful people to photograph and these kids were no exception. The oldest you will notice has these gorgeous brown eyes. Amy said to me during the session... "Do you think he could make us some money?!" of course she said it jokingly with a side of humility, but this kid has the most precious dimples and personality to go with it! He is such a gentle older brother to his two sisters and I hate to tell you Amy... but he COULD make you some money in front of the camera... he is that adorable and just a natural!!!

The girls were just the cutest things ever, the middle one ("A" we will call her) is "all girl"! During one part of the session she had to stop to get the dirt off her shoe and then she was ready to roll again! She was so willing to sing for me and a do her little ballerina stuff... "A" you are going to be so beautiful in your ballerina stuff!!! I could just kiss her little round cheeky's all day long!

And lastly there is little miss baby sister! I was shocked that she isn't even 2 yet! She is so tall and super bright too. Mom says if she's not happy... nobodys happy! Bad news Amy... that should warn you that she is super duper smart!!! She's under 2 and can make all of you jump when she says! I just love her little face and she really does have a gentle little spirit even if she "knows what she wants"!!! It was such a pleasure spending the morning with the 4 of you!

Be sure and keep it quiet everyone, these photos are going to be a surprise for dad. I know these sneek peeks are such a tease Amy, I will have your gallery up VERY quickly!

Jason & Becca.... ENGAGED!!!

MY FAV: (below)
I can hardly wait for this wedding, which is coming up very quickly! Once in awhile you have a couple or a family, or person who you just know it's the "right fit" and you should be their photographer.... well that's what I have here!!!

I have known Becca for about 10 years. I worked with her about 10 years ago and then have seen her periodically throughout the years. Interestingly enough we all just ran into each other by chance and I found out they were getting married and well the rest is history! Time has flown so fast, I cannot believe the wedding is just around the corner!

Jason I am so so so sorry for you that you have to raise these two BEAUTIFUL girls of yours!!! I only apologize because you are going to be sooo busy beating the boys off your girls!!! They are just gorgeous! I told them today that I am going to have to remember them when I need some models for photoshoots because both of them are just stunning and absolutly natural in front of the camera! Becca you are going to be such a great step-mom!!! Those girls just adore you and I can see it in your eyes the feeling is mutual! Jason your a lucky guy, but we also know your a great guy too, so they are all just as lucky as you!
When I left their session today, I couldn't wait until I got home to look at their pictures so I pulled through a drive through to grab something to drink and I got caught up in looking at all the great pics that I have cars honking at me to move in the drive through!!! You know it's going to be good when something like that happens!!!!!
But... just check out these! I have your session done and just about ready to have up for you guys!!! Watch your email tomorrow, I cannot wait for you to see the proofs!!!

Another visit...

with the Haft twins!

I wasn't overly thrilled with the session I had with the twins in the blog below so I called their wonderful parents and they were kind enough to have me over to see if I could maybe... just maybe capture a couple of the two of them in the same picture.... Yeah not so much!!!

I think I got some great shots. I almost think it's key with kids at this age (just two), to catch them in "their" environment. They had so much to explore being in a new place when I met up with them before, that I didn't get to see enough of their adorable faces, this time... that part worked out MUCH better! I actually could tell them apart this time. Mom was kind enough to put different colored shirts on them just to be sure! I kept having to ask... ok this one is Tyler... right?! They couldn't be cuter!!!!

So stinkin' cute!

Well, he's back again! Here is Drake who is now.... 5 MONTHS ALREADY! How does time fly so fast and he really should still look like this:

He is such a smiliey little guy and almost always happy. I noticed today how active he is getting! I have a feeling you all will be chasing him around very soon!

I <3 this family!

My fav:

So you will probably recoginze Maggie in these photos from the Salon Breathe photo shoot. Maggie's siblings all came up to Michigan for a sibling get together, apparently they haven't all been together in the same state for a long time! I was so excited to go do their photoshoot. I knew if the others were anything like Maggie, I would just love them.

I couldn't have felt more comfortable with this family. They are the kind of people who are just fun to be around! I know they will probably be like... "oh my gosh, I cannot believe she is saying that... after this shoot!" Tommy, which is Maggie's youngest son, was having a rough evening. We all know how it is when young kids don't get enough rest and have overstimulated weekends, and to top all that off... add in some serious allergies and asthma. Honestly what could we expect to get out of him after that! At one point in this shoot we even contemplated taking Tommy to the ER! I will have to say that's a first for me, can you just see me following the 6 of them around the ER?! I haven't spent any time there recently but who knows with all the renovations at Foote Hospital it could have been cool! Tommy, I hope you are feeling MUCH better today! I will come back over and we will do something fun when your eye isn't all swollen!

To give you an idea of where all of these siblings flew in from: John (New York), Ann Marie (Georiga), and Billy (Virginia)! I hope you all had a fun time despite "baggage" LOL! :-) It was a pleasure working with you all!

I can hear them giggling in this picture!

I love his eyes!

This is my nephew Kaden! I just had to put this picture up for his mom and dad to see! I just love his big brown eyes! He will be 2 in just a few days! I cannot believe him and Carson are already 2... where does the time go?!

My pretty!

She is sure turning into such a little girl! She has lost all of her baby look that she still had last year when I did her photo shoot! She has become a celebrity on my blog! I often get comments about how beautiful that little girl in the purple coat is! So to all of you who have said that... here she is again... and just as beautiful if not more than ever!!! I love you Lauren!

Woah!

Yesterday I met up with the Haft family! This adorable family has one beautiful little girl named Ashley and twin 2 year old boys!!! As you can imagine they did a great job of keeping me and both of their parents on our toes! They are your typical boys who are 100% all boy and into the rocks, digging, cars, running and having a great time!
We started out at my grandparents farm where we hoped we could just maybe grab a quick semi-posed family picture.... yeah I bet you can imagine how successful that was with two little guys who would really rather do anything but take a "still" picture! This family was great to work with a did a great job just going with the flow, I guess that's something that you just get used to when you have a beautiful young and busy family!
I HONESTLY cannot tell these two little guys apart for the life of me. I was relieved to hear that even mom and dad have trouble when they look back at pictures they had taken last year! They aren't sure if they are actually identical... but honestly how could two people look SO much alike and not be identical!
Thank You, Art, Michelle, Ashley, Logan, & Tyler for hanging out with me! I hope you enjoy your sneek peek! I will get your proofs up ASAP!
