It's been a great year for babies around here. I would love to be able to say that newborn sessions are my favorite... and they are... however every session is my favorite, BUT... newborn sessions, NEVER get old!

There is always something so magical about a tiny newborn with wrinkly skin, curly legs, that lovely baby smell, and so innocent. I have been doing newborn announcements however really havent taken the time to share too many of them, so I figured I would take this opportunity.

Olivia

You might remember these beautiful eyes if you remember back to our contest! Olivia was the first place winner in "The Eyes" Contest and she surely didn't disappoint with her eyes!

I had a wonderful time doing Olivia's session this past weekend. She had the BEST outfits that her grandma MADE for her... AMAZING work and the patterns and fabrics couldn't have been better. Doesn't everyone wish they had a grandma to make great things like this for them?!

Olivia was a champ through her session. My 12 year old daughter Kenedey occasionally comes on sessions with me and is a HUGE help.... all those times when she isn't with me and I find myself saying, I wish I had 4 hands... well she makes that possible. I really didn't have to work hard for these great smiles, most of them were courtesy of Kenedey... and then there was the frown pics... yeah we had nothing to do with that... that was all Olivia's dad Travis... he said something that made her sad... but this pic is one of my faves so kudos Travis! Good work! Even if you did have to make your daughter sad!

Jason (my husband) and I went to school with Travis and Libby (Olivia's parents). This is like the 5th friend from High School's child that I have had the opportunity to do photo sessions for. It has been so neat for me to get to see these people with their families/kids.

Olivia thank you for sharing your pretty eyes... never forget, "Daddy DOES wear diapers" ;-)

Dont look because you will want this!

So there's been a lot of talk around here about canvas prints. I order the occasional one, but never order one for myself to have simply because I really don't have any pictures of my kids that I love enough to canvas wrap... my point is that SOMETIMES we get "just that shot" and I know its canvas worthy.

I have been ordering all of my gallery wrapped canvas' in metallic lately because I LOVE the dimension it gives and I think it fits well with my work. I saw one at a trade show a few years ago and thought it was stunning, but never ordered it until a few months ago. And do you think I ever thought to take a picture of a canvas for you to see? NOPE. But this time I did. This is a 10x20 gallery wrapped canvas in metallic. The metallic just gives a great piece that extra little bump. LOVE it!

We are pretty serious about our home team!

Sorry im a bit behind on getting this post done and I didn't even write on the last one. Just been busy getting the kids ready for school. My kids started today and it went great... more on that later.

So here is Drake... can you believe he is 21 months old? If you are a long time blog follower, you will recognize him. He kicked off our Bebe' Collection with his first year and here we are almost all the way out to the 2 year mark... no way?!!!

So big news around here. Drake is kicking off our new Baby 2 Bus collection. Clients who are in the Bebe' Collection, I have become so attached to your children and love every minute of documenting their first year. Each and every child who is part of my bebe' collection is near and dear to me. I have personal relationships with them that I know will last a lifetime. What I don't want to happen, if for you to feel like now that your baby is 1 year old we are done. It's still so important to mark those milestones even after 1 year. So here are the basics to the Baby to Bus.

Includes:

• FIVE sessions. First session will begin at 18 months, then 2 year bday, 3 yr, 4 yr and the final 5 year just before they head off to school.
• $150 for all 5 sessions. Each session will offer a free 8x10 and 20% off all prints.
• the potential to have a final album with photos starting from maternity to age 5. What better way to capture those first five years that are so important.

We have a saying in our house; "you get 5 years with kids"... if you can't set a good solid foundation in those first 5 years, its going to be a tough ride. I don't think there is anything more bittersweet than capturing your little one from belly to 5 now! And let me tell ya, I know all about bittersweet today after sending my baby off to preschool today for the first time! Whew MUCH tougher than I expected it to be!

Stunning...

Sunny is another 2010 Senior! I often say certain ages are my favorite... but today... High School Seniors are my favorite! :-) She really is absolutely stunning. Sunny was really not super excited about doing these. I can completely understand because for a lot of people, myself included, having a camera in your face and all about you isn't everyone's idea of fun! However... looking at these... you might think she is an absolute natural and maybe even a model! ;-)
